With the amount of records available online these days, genealogy has become a hobby accessible to anyone with internet, and those little leaves are so enticing! Yet many people build trees online, following those "hints," and actually waste precious hours because they don’t know how to sort the true from the false. Unfortunately, this  leads to widespread errors as folks copy bad information off each other again and again. 

That’s why I decided to found Learn Genealogy, where I share my methods for building your tree right from the start. I’ve always loved history. It started as an obsession with ancient civilizations as a child and bloomed in a college degree and 10+ year journey to discover my own family’s past.
